Gateshead FC has signed 20-year-old Freddie Issaka on a temporary loan deal until after the New Year. The winger and centre forward arrives at Gateshead International Stadium to bolster the club's attacking options.
Background
Issaka became Plymouth's youngest ever player when he made his professional debut at 15 years and 34 days in August 2021. He came on as a substitute in a 2-0 EFL Cup defeat to Newport County.
The young forward has made 40 appearances for Plymouth. In the first half of the 2025/26 season, he spent time on loan at EFL League Two side Bristol Rovers, playing nine times. He then joined Truro City in the Enterprise National League from 13 February, appearing 15 times and scoring twice.
