Keaton Ward has left Gateshead FC to join Barrow. The midfielder's move to Cumbria follows eight months on Tyneside at Gateshead International Stadium.

Ward arrived at Gateshead from Altrincham in a deal running until the end of the 2026/27 season, but has now departed the club ahead of the new campaign.

Ward's Impact at Gateshead

During his time at Gateshead, Ward played a key role in the club's escape from relegation in the latter half of the 2025/26 season. The midfielder scored five goals and recorded six assists across 18 appearances, operating on the right flank.

His goal at home to Braintree Town earned particular recognition, winning Gateshead FC's Goal of the Season award.

Club Farewell

Gateshead FC thanked Ward for his contributions and wished him well for his future at Barrow.
